"EUROPA-ITALIA" AWARD
The "Europa-Italia" Award was introduced in October 1991, and over the years has been assigned to renowned and distinguished personalities in recognition of their exceptional contribution to the process of Italy’s political, economic and financial integration in the European Union.
This prize has been awarded:
- 1991: Renato Ruggiero, Ambassador, former Minister of External Trade and Director of Economic Affairs of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs;
- 1992: Carlo Azeglio Ciampi, Governor of the Bank of Italy;
- 2002: Giuseppe Tesauro, President of the Italian Antitrust Authority and former Advocate General at the EU Court of Justice;
- 2005: Mario Monti, President of Bocconi University in Milan and former European Commissioner at DG Competition;
- 2006: Alessandro Profumo, Managing Director of Unicredit Group.
