POST-GRADUATE PROGRAMMES
Post-graduate education is one of the Institute’s principle areas of activity. Courses are organised in the field of European integration and international relations, where lectures are given by prominent Italian and international experts, university professors or practitioners and senior officials of international institutions.

This course, launched in 2005 in collaboration with the Centre for Studies on Federalism with the financial support of the Compagnia di San Paolo, has been designed to provide young Italians and foreign graduates with specific and practical competencies in the field of EU economic law and competition, with a particular focus on European governance, competition policies, European company law and Structural Funds.
Starting from 2009 edition, with the aim of responding to the needs of flexible and intensive training form participants, the "Law & Business in Europe" project was launched as a two/three-week Autumn School.
The Autumn School combines European law, international business and advanced management, to confront with global strategies that involve both legal and economic aspects.

- International Trade Law
For 20 years the International Training Centre of the ILO and a number of academic partners led by the University of Turin and the University Institute of European Studies and in collaboration with other world-class universities have been offering a shortened version of this programme under the name "International Trade Law Post-Graduate Course".
The first edition of the course was held in April-June 1991 and during its 20-year life, the Alumni group reached the number of 766 members, coming from 87 different countries.
In recognition of increasing demand for higher levels of specialization in the fields of contract law and international trade it was decided to expand and upgrade the programme’s learning contents to an LL.M. Course.
This LL.M. Programme is designed for more comprehensive coverage of the topics related to the globalisation of supply chains, the vast expansion in international and regional trade in goods and services as well as the accompanying governing contractual transactions in a technologically interconnected global market.
The LLM programme is an intensive course of one full year duration (November – November), of which only 18 weeks require full classroom attendance.
The programme is composed of three parts:
Part I (distance learning, November - January), Part II (face-to-face, February - June) and Part III (submission of the final version of the research paper, before November).
In order to comprehensively cover both the legal concepts and the applied practice sides of the various types of contracts in international trade, the LL.M. Programme has assembled a team of highly qualified law professors and experienced law practitioners in order to impart to the participants not only the legal knowledge for negotiating trade and related contractual issues but also the necessary competences for analysing complex situations and disputes in contracts and trade agreements.
